Introducing our first collection:
“Lines and Layers”
Lines and Layers explores the relationship between structure and softness. Across each piece, mesh, intentional ruching and layering detail are used not just as decoration, but as a means of shaping, guiding, and extending the dancer’s natural lines.
Each design balances coverage and openness: clean silhouettes are paired with sheer elements that reveal the body’s movement. Specific design elements follow the body’s architecture - drawing the eye along the neckline, the torso, and through the back - subtly elongating form while allowing for the freedom of movement. Lightweight mesh ensures transparency and breathability, creating a beautiful contrast against smooth performance fabric and lending visual depth without weight.
Lines and Layers was designed to feel considered yet effortless, refined yet functional. A study in detail, restraint and intention, j.élia’s debut collection reflects the belief that the smallest design choices can transform how a dancer moves, feels, and is seen.
